Content License Summary
Welcome to NoiseEra. We are a creator-first platform built to help producers, DJs, and electronic artists showcase their music to the world. Our golden rule is simple: Creators own their music.
This summary is for convenience only and is not legally binding. It’s meant to give you a quick overview of how rights work on our platform. For all the details, please read our full Terms of Service here.
For Artists (Your Rights)
When you upload your tracks, mixes, or stems to NoiseEra, you are in full control:
- You Keep 100% Ownership: NoiseEra does not claim any copyright, ownership, or exclusive rights to your music. It is yours.
- Non-Exclusive Hosting: You only grant us a basic license to host, stream, and display your content on your artist page so others can listen and download. You are free to distribute your music anywhere else.
- Full Control: You can delete your uploads or your entire profile at any time.
For Listeners & DJs (Using the Music)
NoiseEra is built for discovery and DJ utility, but it is not a royalty-free stock library. The original creator retains all rights to their IP. Here is what you can and cannot do with tracks downloaded from NoiseEra:
What you CAN do:
- Download & Listen: You may download available tracks for personal listening and evaluation.
- Play in DJ Sets: You are encouraged to use downloaded tracks in live DJ sets, club performances, and radio mixes, provided you aren't attempting to monetize the track itself.
What you CANNOT do:
- No Unauthorized Remixes or Sampling: You cannot rip, sample, or remix an artist's music to create a new track for release without their direct, explicit permission.
- No Commercial Exploitation: You cannot sell, redistribute, sync to commercial video projects (like ads or monetized YouTube videos), or monetize any tracks found on NoiseEra without a license from the creator.
- No Claiming Ownership: You cannot upload another creator's work to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or Soundcloud claiming it as your own.
Want to use a track for a commercial project or official remix? Use the contact links on the artist's DJ-ready page to reach out to them directly. All licensing, official remix rights, and collaborations must be negotiated directly with the creator.
Thanks for respecting the artists that make NoiseEra possible!
