About This Event
Get ready for an unforgettable musical journey at the “HISTOIRES SANS PAROLES” concert, part of the TRACES FESTIVAL 2026! Join us at the stunning Musical Instruments Museum for an evening filled with accessible and charming compositions by lesser-known yet extraordinary composers.
Experience the magic as we kick off the concert with Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s enchanting Suite from Much Ado about Nothing op. 11, a piece that hints at his future as a Hollywood film music master. Then, be whisked away by Igor Stravinsky’s whimsical Divertimento from The Fairy’s Kiss, a delightful tribute to Tchaikovsky crafted for the legendary Ballets Russes.
After immersing ourselves in Tchaikovsky’s evocative Maria’s Aria from Mazeppa, we’ll return to the vibrant freedom of the 1920s with Darius Milhaud’s lively Le bœuf sur le toit, inspired by his travels to Brazil. This is a celebration of sounds that will transport you!
